Thoughts
We begin a new year and far from writing the classic New Year’s greeting full of good wishes, I invite you to reflect together and recognize the true value of a new year and ultimately of life.
I am sure many of you have received many messages these days, good wishes, especially now in the age of social networks, even messages from people
we do not even know, full of hope and reminding us that last year was terrible and fortunately it’s already over. Hopefully, the next year will be better! We should think about how often people, the media, the news always want to show us only the bad sides of life, but never praise the wonderful things we have experienced and still have to experience. We spend the years wishing they would pass quickly so we can start the next one, as if a number would solve the problems we mostly created ourselves. Neither nature, nor money, nor love… none of it depends on a new year, but on each one of us.
I want you to stop and think about all the beautiful things that have happened to you this year. I do not mean the material things, but that you wake up next to the person you love, that the sun shines on our face while we drink a good coffee, that we enjoy the love of family, that we go for a walk, see the sea and breathe its
breeze, that we are grateful for life and for every day we spend in it, because life is a beautiful gift that of course has its bad sides, but why? Are we not focusing on the good parts? Let us focus on the good energy and enjoy the great little things that life gives us every day and love every year we spend in it.
We at The Guide Artists would like to thank Laura Mocnik for giving us such wonderful art, for her beautiful cover in such an important issue as January, and for sending you all our good energy for this year.
Thank you! Let ́s begin!
