Kazuya Ushioda
I was born in 1983 in Tochigi Prefecture, which is a world cultural heritage site. I decided to become a painter when I was in high school. The high school I attended was in Mashiko-cho, which is famous for its ceramic art, and I had the opportunity to learn the basics of ceramic art in class. After that, I went to Bunsei College of Arts, continued my studies, and received my master’s and doctoral degrees. I work with the intention of contributing to the development of art not only in Japan but also in the world.
