Oil Painting with Daria Callie Let’s catch up!
In my works I want to create a world where realism and abstraction can coexist. Through the main figures of my paintings I try to convey a feeling of independence and strength, and the abstraction surrounding them is meant to create kind of a free boundless atmosphere.
I usually use soothing but at the same time expressive colors and their combinations to support the feelings I want my work to evoke; such as a feeling of serenity, strength, awareness and certainly a feeling of freedom.
Daria Callie is a belarussian-born artist, working primarily in oils. She graduated from BNTU with a bachelor of architecture degree, and transitioned into the art career full time at the end of 2016.
You can find her work in private collections in the United States, France, Japan, etc.
She often mixes the abstract forms of the background with the realism of the portrait.
